Built on Craftsmanship.
Backed by Experience.
R&D Fabworks was built on a simple idea:
Do the work right, treat people right, and stand behind every project.
More Than Just a Fabrication Shop
R&D Fabworks started in 2016 with a focus on custom off-road fabrication, but quickly evolved into something bigger.
As the company evolved to what it is today, the name changed, but the focus on quality and efficiency has not. We are not the cheapest shop in town, but we treat every project like it’s the only project we have, and apply all of our knowledge and ability to ensure top level project quality with a process that is as efficient as possible.
Our ethos doesn’t stay in the shop, either. It expands to every jobsite we have, in any state in the lower 48, regardless of the job.
Meet Garrett Daniels, Owner
Garrett didn’t take the traditional path, and that’s exactly what makes R&D Fabworks different.
After studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky, he realized his passion wasn’t just in theory; it was in building, problem-solving, and working with his hands. That led him to the Knight School of Welding in Louisville, where he earned his first AWS certifications and began developing the skills that would shape his career.
From there, Garrett spent years working in production welding, fabrication, and machining while building R&D Fabworks on nights and weekends.
In 2019, he went all in with the support of his wife and has never looked back.
Today, with over 47 AWS certifications and more than a decade of hands-on experience, Garrett leads every project with the same mindset:
figure it out, do it right, and don’t cut corners.
When he’s not working (which isn’t often), Garrett is a husband to Amanda, a dad to Ainsley, and (by his own admission) an occasional annoyance to the people he works with 🤓
He also enjoys golfing about 8 times a year.
